Conversation may be where people begin, but connection is what keeps the community growing.
Linguas Australia runs recurring language exchange and social events in Melbourne, creating welcoming places where people can practise languages, meet new people and build friendships across cultures.
Our community includes people who have lived in Melbourne their whole lives and people who arrived this week. You do not need to be fluent in another language, arrive with a group, or know anyone before you come.
Linguas has been connecting people since 2015 and continues to evolve through weekly events, larger social gatherings, community collaborations and new event formats.

Linguas is part of Intermingle Australia, a wider Melbourne events network built around different ways for people to connect.
Alongside language exchange, the broader network includes gaming socials, thought experiment events, cultural and live-performance concepts, parties and community collaborations. Each format has its own identity, while sharing the same goal: creating more reasons for people to meet in real life.
